Meet The 2025 Board

Thank you to those who expressed interest in running for a Visalia Democratic Club 2025 board position. Here is your 2025 Board elected at our Annual Meeting on November 27, 2024:

President:
Colijia Feliz

​Colijia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Educator and Activist who has worked to provide safety to abused children and victims of human trafficking. She has also worked as a school social worker providing therapy to traumatized students and those struggling with mental wellness.

In March of 2024 Colijia was elected as the Secretary of the Tulare County Democratic Central Committee.

Vice President:
Adina Escarsega 

Adina Escarsega is a dedicated community member, entrepreneur, and lifelong educator. A proud widow and mother of two adult children, Adina has spent her life creating spaces that foster creativity, cultural exchange, and connection. Since 2012, she has owned and operated Clay Cafe Ceramics, a thriving local business where people of all ages come together to explore their artistic side through pottery and painting.

​Before launching her business, Adina served as a high school Social Science teacher, where she inspired students to think critically about history, culture, and civic engagement. Her passion for global understanding also led her to become the State Coordinator for the FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange) program, where she facilitated meaningful exchanges for international students and built lasting bridges across cultures.
A seasoned traveler and enthusiastic host, Adina has a deep love for international travel and a special connection to Poland. She frequently welcomes Polish guests into her home and community, offering them personalized tours and heartfelt hospitality that reflect her commitment to global friendship.
Through her work, travels, and personal relationships, Adina continues to uplift others and encourage cross-cultural appreciation wherever she goes.

Secretary:
​Randy Evans

Randy is a native of Columbus, OH and lived in the Chicago, IL area for 13 years before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area.  He married in 1984 and relocated to Visalia in 1991.  Randy has been active in his community and politics from an early age, volunteering for campaigns for Michael Dukakis, Andrew Janz and Phil Arballo and served for 10 years on the Visalia Citizens Advisory Committee to the City of Visalia.  Randy ran for Visalia Unified School Board in 2020 and joined the Visalia Democratic Club in 2021.  Randy is also a member of Tulare County Central Committee and is an elected delegate to the California Democratic Party representing Tulare County.  He is currently serving on the Measure A Bond Oversight committee for Visalia Unified School District.  Randy has been married for nearly 40 years and has a son who is a high school social science teacher.  He is an avid gardener and enjoys all types of music and looks forward to his retirement from his  40+ year career in the Risk Management/Insurance industry.

In March of 2024, Randy was elected as Treasurer of the Tulare County Democratic Central Committee. He was also elected as a Delegate to the Democratic National Committee and a Delegate to the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

Immediate Past President:
Joshua A. Evans

Joshua Was born in Walnut Creek, California. His family moved to Visalia in 1991 where he was raised from the age of one. Joshua attended Visalia Unified Schools and was part of the third Graduating Class of El Diamante High School in 2008. Joshua received his BA in History form California Sate University, Fresno in 2012 and received his Teaching Credential in 2014. He began teaching in VUSD in 2014. Since teaching he has become involved with the Visalia Unified Teachers Association, as a Division Director in 2022, where he was also elected to represent VUTA at the 2023 NEA Representative Assembly.  Joshua is an elected delegate to the California Democratic Party representing Tulare County.

In March of 2024 Joshua was elected as the Chair of the Tulare County Democratic Central Committee.
